After deciding that I wanted
"After deciding that I wanted to buy a leather jacket and coming across "The Jacket Maker" from a youtuber (Fly With Johnny Thai), I did my research, read reviews online, and scrolled through the website many times over a 2 week period ,before finally deciding I wouldn't look like a complete d*****bag in a leather jacket and dropping the 200ish dollars on this "Old School Brown Leather Jacket". I was worried that I would screw up the measurements required for the Custom Fitted option so I just ordered a size Medium. I'm 5'10" and hover around 145 lbs. I'm very happy with the fit of the jacket. It's a bit on the tighter side for me, but I can still comfortably layer a hoodie underneath of it. The color is the main reason I bought this jacket and I can confirm that the picture on the website is accurate. Looks nice, matches my oxfords I wear to work everyday. I was a bit concerned about the styling (the pointed collar & back of the collar) looking a bit too "Rhinestone Cowboy", but I like it and I am a fan of the pointed chevron (^) design on the sleeves. The construction quality is good. Some of the reviews you read for TJM talk about how they're going to have their jacket for eons and how it's going to get passed down in their family for years to come. A millennium from now the jacket will be discovered by future alien researchers in a , then, ancient tomb. The jacket will be hailed as an artifact from a long dead civilization. . . Obviously, I'm being a bit of an a**hole here. The jacket quality isn't mind blowing. It's not great, I can see the adhesive the holds the side zippers on, but it's good. For the price I paid for it I am happy with it. Given my body shape doesn't dramatically change in the near future, I can see myself having this for at least a good seven years if I take care of it. My main gripe with the Jacket is the aforementioned side zippers. They only go down a quarter of the way from the top. I could not find in the product description any mention of this, forgive me if I missed it, but those big side zippers are just for show. In hindsight, it would probably be too much to expect those side zippers to be functional, but still I was a bit disappointed. There are two pockets on the inside of the jacket that are good enough for holding your wallet/phone/keys/etc. Overall I'm happy with my jacket and will be buying a lined jacket ,for the Fall/Winter, from TJM come August."
